The Jones & Jones Development team has been in the construction industry for a combined total of 50 years in the greater Kansas City area.
A member of the National Association of Home Builders and a member of and actively participate in the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City.
Scott Jones' main focus is Jones and Jones Development. He believes in the hands on approach and therefore is very involved in every aspect of the construction process. Your phone call will always be returned and any issue you want to address will be promptly attended to. Scott attended Johnson County Community College's Business and Construction Management programs. The seven years prior to starting his construction business he was a job site foreman for Berkel and Company Contractors, Inc., the major foundation contractor in America. His work with Berkel took him to many places across the United States and as far away as Aruba. Scott has worked on large projects in the Kansas City area such as Station Casino, Harrah's Casino and the Kemper Arena expansion to name a few. In addition to Jones and Jones Development, Scott owns All About Storage, a boat and mini-storage facility.
Mike Jones is a partner in Jones and Jones Development and is the current President and Board of Director of Berkel and Company with whom he joined in 1965. Berkel and Company was ranked the sixth largest excavation/foundation contractor in the United States in 2001 by Engineering News Record magazine. Mike is very effective in dealing with engineers, architects and client relationships. Mike holds Contractors Licenses in many of the 50 states, he is a Corporate Member of the Deep Foundation Institute (DFI), a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Concrete Institute and the Building and Planning Commissioner as well as Board of Director for the City of Lake Quivira, Kansas. Mike also participates and sits on several building and renovation committees. A recent project is the World Trade Center in New York City.
